General objective
The general purpose of the AAOPFR is to develop a strong national community of river carriers and river port operators, to represent the interests of this sector of activity in a professional and professional manner, both nationally and internationally.
AAOPFR philosophy
The philosophy of approaching the activity within AAOPFR is that of constructive dialogue and full transparency.

AAOPFR considers that the continuous development of river transports and ports can only be the result of a continuous dialogue and cooperation between the industry and the representative authorities of the Statute.

In this sense, AAOPFR expresses its full readiness for collaboration and open, transparent dialogue and hopes that the State, through its representatives, will adopt a similar attitude.
Vision and motto
AAOPFR's vision is to develop the Danube as the main transport route for high-volume goods, as well as the main intermodal transport route, both for goods intended for domestic consumption and for goods in transit to and from the Central European countries along the Danube.

Regarding the Danube ports, we will fight for their transformation into Intermodal Logistics Centers that offer the best quality services in the field of operation and distribution of goods in the area covered by the respective port.

We will also strive to demonstrate to the general public that river transport is one of the most economical, safe and less polluting means of transport, and that being a river navigator or port operator is a particularly interesting, professional and promising job.

By putting this Vision into practice, we will demonstrate in practice the meaning of the Association's motto:
